Ladies for the win! How we celebrate women at Viage
On Tuesday, March 8, International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world. The day is dedicated to strong women who stood up for women’s rights and changed the world for the better. Rosa Parks, Kathrine Switzer, Marie Curie … Their incredible accomplishments unite women all over the world to this very day. But there is still work to be done. To support the equal rights cause, Viage puts on a special celebration for women!
Women in charge on International Women’s Day
Much has changed in the last hundred years, but the inequality gap between men and women, alas, remains a fact. Experts believe the difference will not be fully eliminated for another hundred years, but that doesn’t mean we should stop trying to eliminate it as we speak. Viage believes that, by sticking up for each other and taking action, small and big, we can really make a difference. We’re not talking about demonstrations or rallies, but about events that actively encourage solidarity and togetherness.
The theme of International Women’s Day 2016 is ‘Pledge For Parity’, or: gender equality. The aim is to encourage both women and men to take action to bridge the inequality gap between the sexes. The day is devoted specifically to helping more women land senior positions, to creating more advanced company policies and to building (work) environments where prejudice no longer prevails.
Special edition of Afterwork
